Everyone will have their own preferences when it comes to what they couldn’t do without. For some it may be a simple painting, for others it might be the internet or a mobile phone. Here are just five things that people may not be able to live without.
- Relaxing with music
There are a large number of people who can’t live without music and there is nothing better than sitting in your favourite chair with a good album playing in the background. Tente UK makes this a lot more pleasurable by designing and manufacturing the perfect castors for your favourite chair to relax in (actually, castor wheels on office or home study chairs are a pretty important everyday product in themselves).
An article in the Express online says that one of the most important modern inventions that we can’t go without is accessing music from the internet. Many people now obtain their music by streaming it directly from the broadband, giving them access to millions of tracks.
2.Watching your favourite film or TV programme
The Daily Mail published a survey that places the television as the second most important item that families can’t do without. Whether you use it on a regular basis or catch up with iPlayer or another service, TV does have its uses. Satellite TV has opened up a world of programmes for the domestic consumer, who can enjoy a wide range of entertainment from all over the globe – and 24/7 too, if desired.
- Broadband, computing
Businesses and domestic users all use this superb invention. In some rural areas of the UK, where broadband speeds are slow, business life can be affected. There is something quite magical about sending an email from London to Beijing and getting a response within seconds. The internet is rapidly overtaking traditional methods of shopping and even HMRC are suggesting that tax queries are dealt with online rather than engaging with an actual advisor.
- Cars
From Ferraris to the beautifully functional Mini, cars really are a necessity of modern life. Trains are unreliable, buses are boring, but the car becomes an extension of your personality. For some drivers it’s not just a matter of getting from one part of the UK to the next, the devil really does lie in the detail. Cars also promote independence, which is always important.
- The Smartphone
Some people run their whole lives from their smartphone. Wander down any road in the country and you’re sure to bump into someone with their smartphone glued to their ear – in fact, they’ll probably literally bump into you because they’re so engrossed in whatever they’re doing on their ‘phone. You can keep track of your diary dates, keep up with your social media or listen to music. You can even use the smartphone to make a ‘phone call. Ha!
