If there is something that really annoys me its cheesy ads on the TV. I was bored the other night and instead of watching TV I seemed to spend my evening flicking the channels, just in time for every advert on every channel. The ones that get me at the moment are the ‘send us your gold we pay you money’ adverts. You know the ones I mean, the ones that get you to sell gold, there are loads of them. So many I lost count, the only one I remembered was postal gold and that’s only because their title is logical. If it’s not enough that they are presented by an ill fitting suited strange presenter but they have to have out of work actors to smile cheesely into the camera saying they are so pleased for the small amount of money they were paid for their family air looms.Â
Now I am a reasonable and fair person so everyone is allowed a fair chance. On postalgold website they have 5 testimonials, all glowing of course but do rather look like they all live in the same house. (I know I am not the only one who looks at the furnishings more than what they are going on about) but glowing staged testimonials dont wash with me so I have done a bit of digging to see what real people say about them. Not good I am afraid and I have waded through allot of reviews. The main complaint seems to be that the offers for the gold are low, with offers being doubled when first refused. I haven’t found any complaints of gold going missing or postalgold not honouring the return policy they advertise though.
Using this service is a matter of choice. For some it may be the ideal solution if for example money is tight then this could offer a confidential solution so I can see the appeal in that. But do think before you post grannies necklace off.
