Day 8 Blogtember topic: Discuss ways that blogging or social media has changed you.
Hmmm has it changed me? I think it would be easier to say what it hasn’t changed about me as that list would definitely be shorter. I started blogging back in April 2008. My other half had taught me to play poker but then got rather annoyed when I kept beating him. He got so annoyed that he banned me from the boys weekly poker game. Rather peeved I started a poker site for girls. About 6 months later me and the other half had a falling out and we split up briefly. In that time I set up Confessions of a Single Mum. I kept the site going when we got back together as ultimately I am still a single parent as we have never taken the next step and moved in together.
I got bit by the bug and from that poker site to date I have set up many sites that I now run and earn off. I have a site I can blog on for whatever mood I am in. Through having my blogs I have met people I would never before have the confidence to speak to before. I am doing something that none of my every day friends do. I am doing something that I can do when I want to do. If I want to be busier I can up it all , if I want to be quieter I can tone it down. With blogging I have learnt things I never thought I could learn. I have pushed myself and surprised myself. I have patted myself on the back and pulled myself out of my boots. I have been told I am a clever old thing and a lucky too.
I think since I discovered blogging and all that goes with it I have reached the point in my life I can say I love my life.
