The British Gas Energy Trust is rolling out a training scheme to help those claiming certain benefits get employability training.
If you are receiving one of the following benefits, you can access the training courses for free:
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Disability Living Allowance
- Personal Independence Payment
- Council Tax Support
- Working Tax Credit
- Income Support
- Employment and Support Allowance
- Pension Credit
- income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance.
The training courses are all online-based and focus on accrediting the users with vocational focused qualifications.
There are a number of different training courses, including:
- Teaching assistant
- Digital photography
- Food handling and catering
- Accounting and bookkeeping
- CV and interview skills
- Project management
- Setting up in business
- Administration and customer services
