Blogging has been a part of my life for the past 10 years. From the very first word to typing this I have enjoyed every single minute. There is something about blogging that can get right under your skin. If you try it you will get bitten by the bug too or its not your thing. There is something so lovely about being able to blog about something you are passionate about that keeps you buzzing.
Can Blogging Change Your Life?
If you want it to – yes. It can be just a hobby if you want and that alone can take up as much time as you want to give it. You can create an online community for your hobby and followers. This can help grow your hobby. But you can also money from blogging and not all blogs are about hobbies. Even I earn enough from blogging to only work part time in my day job. You can have a blog about anything. Maybe you know how to do amazing thing with excel and can teach others through your blog. If you have a skill of any kind you can earn money by teaching others. You can do it via vlogs, blog posts, pdfs that you sell or even ebooks. It can be the whole new start to a whole new career for you.
The amount of people you can meet both virtually and in real life is huge. There are seminars, conferences and trainings on all different parts of blogging. These are brilliant for meeting other like minded bloggers and create friendships and partnerships. A lot of people think you shouldn’t be friends with fellow bloggers as they see them as their competition. I don’t follow this thought as the amount of help and advice I have received form fellow bloggers is staggering. Those I have come across have been helpful, given me the best advice and have passed on sponsored posts to me.
But How Do You Start?
Everything you need to learn about blogging can be learnt online. Follow bloggers you admire and see how they do things. If you want to earn money from blogging read the blogs of those who don’t just shout about how much they have earned but show you how they earned it. Maybe you just want a large following, then follow and learn from the bloggers that have a large following. What are they doing that is different to the rest? You shouldn’t copy them but get inspiration from them.
Most of all, enjoy the journey.
