There has been many times I went to call you then remembered you're not there. There has been many times I was going to text but remembered you're not there. Today my social feeds are full of grinning mums with their cards and presents. Declarations of 'worlds best mum' scroll past my eyes one after the other. We use to be of the same thinking, that Mothers Day was just another day. It was for retailers to make yet more money. When I told my own children a few years ago that Mothers Day for ... VIEW POST

I Wish For My Children…
There are many things no one warns you about when you have a child and one of those things is your hopes and dreams for them as they grow up. Adulthood for them seems so far away but really it just around the corner. You have little hopes like that they will learn to tie their own shoelaces before they get married as you imagine you will be tieing their laces even when they are married or you have dreams that they will develop their hidden tidy gene. This time next week we will be tidying away the debris and starting to think about climbing into bed knowing its over for another year. But it is ok to be knackered and totally fed up with the whole thing already. Its ok ... VIEW POST
