I have just been to a college presentation where many students got awarded with their end of year certificates. I did notice that most the students matched their names. That sounds stupid I know but what I mean is there was a Emma which to me gives me images of sweet endearing children that have a unique prettiness about them. And yep both Emma's matched the images in my head. So what I am wondering is do we actually morph into our name or are there Emma's out there that completely go against ... VIEW POST

Fabulous Friday in Glorious Sunshine
A week has gone by already? Where did that go? Anywhere onward and upwards with this weeks fabs. The best fab this week is that I have had this week off and the sun has shone every day. Loving it! There is something all smiley about waking up and the sun is already shining. So this week I have read lots, worked on the eBook and smiled lots. And mainly all in the garden. This week has been smells of sunshine, strawberries that are growing in the veg patch and suncream. Other fabulous moments ... VIEW POST
Back to School: Making it Affordable and Stress-Free
This year seems to be flying by, doesn’t it? It doesn’t seem two minutes since we were celebrating Christmas and, all of a sudden, we’re on the cusp of summer! With this comes the dreaded summer school holidays – juggling childcare and work commitments, followed by the need to prepare them for the return to class with all of the back to school essentials. 3 Ways with a Can Of Pears
It's not often I write about food but food bills are one of the simplest and easiest things get some control over. So when I came across a tin of pears in my cupboard and couldn't think what to do with them ( not even going into the where did they come from bit) I hunted down some ideas as they are in date and surely something edible can be produced from them. 1 - Crumble with blackberries. The ... VIEW POST
Fabulous Fridays – Sun, Strawberries and Stuff
I have been reading a lot of eBooks on my kindle recently and a fair few of them are self improvement type ones. Something that runs through most of them is how people aren't thankful for what they got. How you have to be grateful for what have you already have before you can have more. For me this is so true. I see more and more people being complacent. They complain they haven't go this or that but if they actually stopped and looked they would realize how much they actually have. Its all ... VIEW POST
Really?
It has been awhile since I have had a good old whinge about something so I wont bore you with whinging about football or men in shorts, socks and sandals. Instead I am complaining about the over use and callousness of 'alright' as a greeting, leggings and indicators. I don't know if this saying is just a local thing but I sadly despair it's not. I do believe it has reached global level. Why is it when passing someone we know the words "Alright" trip of both parties tongue ? Do we actually ... VIEW POST
