All busy parents deserve to have some choice gadgets in the home that make life easier. Gadgets have been benefiting us for decades already and few people would attempt to bring up children without a washing machine or vacuum cleaner, but why stop there?
Gadgets for the kitchen
Kitchen gadgets have always been among the most important for mums; they make life simpler and free up so much time. Kitchen gadgets are now made to look stylish, and some are designed to inspire us to be healthier. Here are a few of our favourites.
The Aqua Zinger is a great little gadget that quickly infuses water with flavours from real fruit. There is no need to buy expensive flavoured water when it’s possible to create delicious fruity hydration drinks at home.
For those who enjoy salads and want to fry in a healthy way, the Oil Mister is the perfect tool. It creates a mist of herb-infused essential fatty acids that can be sprayed into frying pans or onto your healthy green salad. It is also clean and super quick, so no time wasted getting hands dirty.
Another fun kitchen gadget is the Spiralizer, which creates stringy pasta-style vegetables. These are a great way to encourage young children to eat more vegetables because they can easily eat the food with their hands, and some kids like to pretend that they are eating worms!
Invite the girls round
There is nothing better to beat the stress and let off some steam than to invite some friends over for a morning coffee and chat. Socialising with friends is also a great way to pick up some tips and guidance from more experienced mums.
Coffee mornings can be made special by serving excellent coffee and some delicious cakes and cookies too so that the mums will want to come back. Making great coffee is now easy – thanks to the Tassimo coffee machine’s available from www.tassimo.co.uk a delicious cup of cappuccino or latte can be made for that coffee shop experience.
Gadgets for the kids
Although it is certainly not fashionable to suggest this, one of the best gadgets for kids is a tablet. Android tablets are much cheaper than their Apple equivalents and many of the popular games are free to download.
A simple little gadget can entertain a child for an hour or so, giving parents time to prepare a meal or pamper themselves without interruption. They are well worth the investment. Also, when the little ones have gone to bed, mum gets to surf Facebook and check her emails from the comfort of the sofa.
For younger children who are potty training there is also the iPotty, which is a potty with a tablet on it that encourages children to stay on the potty until their business is finished.
The key to any gadgets for mums is to pick one that make parenting easier, and this invariably means one that will entertain the children, allow them to prepare meals faster and create a little extra “me” time.
