Pricing it all up
It cost us with Gousto £39.88 which includes a £3.99 delivery cost as we still have a 20% discount on ours. They only send you the size of the ingrediants you need, so if a recipe needs 1 tsp of curry powder, you get 1 tsp of curry powder.
Comparing the cost in the local supermarket ( Asda) and using an Excel sheet to save my poor brain the same ingredients would have come to £53.07. That doesn’t take into account our petrol costs and our time doing the shopping. If by chance we didn’t already have a half-used pack of Nigella seeds ( Asda didn’t know what they were) and had to buy everything from scratch it would have cost £86.64.
The meats are good quality and have good dates and if the recipe wants diced chicken, diced chicken is what you get. Great for all those who don’t really want to handle meat and chop things. The food has never arrived squished or bruised. I think we have only had one occasion where a tomato was missing. For us, we think it’s a good value. So why don’t you have a try too, 60% OFF Gousto

I do love Gousto boxes but haven’t ordered one in ages. I am tempted now. It’s crazy how the supermarkets cost so much more.
