As a mum, learning how to organize your life would have been more beneficial than learning how to cook a chicken. I mean come on, its hard enough to remember my dentist appointment and where I am supposed to be and at what time but when you have to remember children social lives as well and maybe partners too it can way too confusing.

There is something about having it all written down, out of your head kinda thing, that can make you breathe a sigh of relief. You can see at a glance who is supposed to be where, how they are getting there and what is for dinner too.
I find that physically writing it down is better for me as it’s still there to remind me unlike the notes on my phone that I forget are there till I go to add another note to it.
Finally organizing your life into a planner is a huge way towards less stress.

Organize Your Life with a Planner
When one part of your life starts to get chaotic and unorganized its way too easy for everything else around you to start to tumble apart. It starts to become a catch 22 situation. When that starts to happen you need to learn how to organize your life with planners.

Planners can have a monthly view. These are good for things like birthdays and holidays as these things don’t generally change and you can see at a glance anything you might need to sort before like birthday presents.
Weekly sections are good to jot down the things that need doing that week. So picking up a birthday present could go in the weekly section.
If your planner has a daily section you can use this for things that need doing that day. Plus the best bit is crossing off things as you do them. There isn’t anything as rewarding as crossing off something on your list.
Different Types Of Planners
Planners are the in thing now and you can get a planner for just about anything. There are …
- Personal or Daily Planners which are the main type.
- Ideal for daily planning.
- Home and Family Planners where just focus on the things for the home and family.
- Finance and Budget Planners that helps you keep on track with your budgets.
- Bullet Journals are a different style again which you can set up your own system.
- Work Projects help you keep work things in order
- And lastly Health, Diet, and Fitness Planners to keep you on the right path.

The size will be important as you might need one small enough to carry everywhere or maybe it will just be in a fixed place in the office or kitchen.
The layouts have to work for you and of course, have the pages you need. There is more info in my post Tips for Choosing the Right Planner
What To Track in Your Planner
When you first get your planner it can be hard to know where to start. The best way is to decide what to track in your planner.
There are things like schedules and appointments, goals and tasks lists or maybe affirmations to start your day well.
Setting goals are particularly good to track in your planner, especially if your planner is something you will use every day. You then have a daily reminder and help to reach your goals.
Planners are also very good for tracking your fitness goals, health, and wellness.
I do have an eBook on How A Daily Planner Can Change Your Life if you would like more info and also a printable Lifestyle and Home Planner
