Thursday, September 5: Pass on some useful advice or information you learned and always remembered.
I was going to spout on how modern day life seems to be all about how people seem to think the world owes them and how we reap what we sew. But then I figured that’s all very deep, boring and not that useful. I then thought what piece of information I have gone back to time and time again ? And its this…..
Righty tighty, lefty Lucy.
Yes I am talking about using a screwdriver. Now that’s far more interesting and useful than me waffling on about how we reap what we sew. I left home at 16 and have spent majority of my life being an independent determined thing so I have done more than my fair share of flat back furniture and DIY. Everytime I get to the screw bit Righty tighty lefty lucy pops into my head.
Just in case you don’t know what righty tighty left lucy means its when you are either tightening or undoing a screw ( or bolt) with a screwdriver. Turn the screwdriver to the right ( right tighty) it tightens the screw. Turn the screwdriver to the left ( lefty lucy) it loosens the screw.
So there you go , you can now go forth and conquer all the flat packed furniture and DIY jobs knowing you know which way is which.

Nice one! I love that little jingle! A very creative way to teach little children about the screwdriver too!
Love it! Thanks for sharing! ?????

I’ve never heard of that. Brilliant! And will now think of you every single bloody time I use a screwdriver, which, like you, is regularly and I’ll be teaching my two sons it with their ‘Build it’ kit!
