If there is one thing I like is trying something new now couple that with something I do a lot of, clothes washing, and it’s no wonder I greeted the postman like an excitable puppy last week. Netmums had arranged for a supply of Simply Pure washing tab to be delivered to me to give them a whirl and put them through their paces.
So what makes Simply Pure so special and different from the hockey puts I normally buy and would they convince me enough to switch to a new brand?
Simply has quiet a range of powder tabs and I have been trying the Simply Pure tabs. It’s hypoallergenic, eco-smart and contains no perfume or optical brighteners. They also have the EU Eco-label and are the first UK detergents to be granted this guarantee of greenness. They have also been dermatologically tested and are approved by the Vegan Society.
So that’s what it says on the tub. Oh whilst on the tub subject, the tub looks like it could be jolly useful in it’s after life after all the tabs have been used. Useful as what I am not sure at the moment but the tub won’t be finding its way into the bin.
So what did I test the tabs on? Might be easier to say what I didn’t test them on. But the washing pile had colours, white school shirts, towels, socks and muddy jodhpurs to name a few. All came out clean with no second wash or extras like stain removers needed. That’s me impressed.
The second thing that impressed me was the lack of highly fake perfume. There wasn’t any but instead the clothes smelt and felt like they had had a really good wash. I know that sounds rather odd thing to say but sometimes washing use to smell and feel like it hadn’t been washed that thoroughly.
The third and final thing that impressed me was the effect on the washing after it had dried. I am not a fan of tumble dryers because of the electricity cost so all my washing is dried on an airier. (Think Widow Twanky) The problem with drying everything on the airier is that socks and towels can be on the crusty, harsh side. Using Simple didn’t cure the problem but the socks and towels were less crusty to the point the children noticed. If a teenager notices something it stands for something in my house.
Did it impress me? Yes. Did it impress me enough to ditch the hockey puts and put Simple Pure on my shopping list from now on? Yes defiantly.
You can get Simply Pure from Netmums and pick up special discount and free delivery or the Simply Website.

What a great review – and if the teenager noticed then that definitely deserves a mention – or maybe even a medal!
