One of the down sides to Christmas and New Year is the sheer cost of it all. Even when you have narrowed your present list down and not gone overboard with the food, it still all costs. No wonder as January starts most people are trying to avoid bank statements and tightening their belts. So if you’re struggling after the festive season and one of your New Year’s resolutions is to earn a little bit more money, here are two things you can do from home and are relatively free to do.
Write and Publish a Kindle Book – ok this might not be a quick result but can turn into a nice little passive earner. If you don’t think you have the next Mills and Boon hidden inside you try non-fiction. Think of something you can waffle on about for ages and that other people want to know how to do. The eBooks that sell the best are ones that solve a problem. Like how to find a job. Then with presenting it in an easy to read eBook can result in people wanting to spend a few pounds on it. There is a lot more info and how to at Amazons KDP.
Write an App – just about everyone has smart phones. Just about every smart phone use apps. I know I use an app for just about anything and everything. My whole life is organised with apps. Creating an app use to be just for the nerds and geeks of the world. Not anymore. With software like Chupamobile app creating can be done by you too. So if you have discovered something that would be so much easier if there was an app for it and no one has created it yet, have a go.
Both these ideas work best if you can fill a need or solve a problem. Even better if no one else has thought of it yet. If they have and you still want to pursue the idea, see what you’re would be competitors are doing and see how you could do it better. These ideas may not be get quick rich ideas but long term passive income is better. If this has given you some ideas I have written a post about going self-employed too.
