A long time ago I bought the book Beating Chronic Fatigue. The poor book has been dragged everywhere, up to bed (and then I would fall asleep) back downstairs then I was too busy to open it. I have though finally had the chance to start reading through it. It was first published in 2010 so it’s relatively newcomer on the book shelves offering suffers a glimmer of hope. The thing that drew me to it (and to buy it) is that it’s written Dr Kristina Downing-Orr and suffered from chronic fatigue. ... VIEW POST

Are All Siblings Enemies?
My kids just don’t seem to get the brother sister love thingy. When I was growing up it did bother me a bit that I didn’t have any brother or sisters but then I probably was looking at it all through rose tinted specs. But it made me determined that any children I did have wouldn’t be only children. Hence I have a 13 year old boy currently winding his older 15 year old sister up. She is retaliating with shouting (loud enough for me to hear of course) for him to stop being so annoying, or to shut ... VIEW POST

It only seems like yesterday I waddled into the maternity unit and came out only a few hours later with my daughter. Sadly its more years than I want to remember, this year she will be 16. Where has that time gone I really don’t know? It scary to think she is nearly all grown up and nearer she gets to it the more serious the outside world has become. Gone are the days you could walk the streets without the fear of anything happening to you. I can’t quote where I read it but I read somewhere that ... VIEW POST
Up and Down Hills with Hi Tec
Living in Cornwall has its perks. You’re only ever 20 minutes from a beach. There is countryside, lots of it and the ace of life is slow. So slow they call it dreckly. Everything in Cornish life is done dreckly. But there are downsides. Hills, holiday makers and narrow lanes. Not a good combination really. Oh and we have a fair bit of Cornish sunshine, which to everyone else is rain. ... VIEW POST
