Despite even his own party telling the Prime Minister to rethink, he has decided in his ultimate ‘wisdom’ to go ahead and make the drastic cuts to Tax Credits. He reckons that it will leave people better off. Yes true but not the low paid that your taking the money off that actually need it.
Need it not for holidays or designer labels but for those little daily things like heat, electricity and the really not important one food.
What he is not jabbering on about is that for every £4 he cuts from tax credits he is only giving back £1 through the so called living wage.
The cuts will take place next April and an average family ( its not just single families but everyday families effected) who have 2.4 kids, with one working full and the other working part time will be around £1450 worse off. A single parent working 16 hours a week will be about £1,260 worse off. So where it was tight already ….its going to get even tighter.
I know myself every penny is accounted for. I do a weekly shop of £25 a week. Keep electricity as low as I can and only spend £12 a week and (that’s without heating on) and basically watch every penny. So Mr Prime Minister which should I stop seeing as I will be £24 a week worse off? Should I stop my weekly shopping and feed myself and 2 children on £1 a week? Or maybe if I don’t use any electricity I can use £12 for food a week? Please Mr Prime Minister do tell me which I should do?

I don’t understand cutting tax credits… it really doesn’t make any sense…
